I had a short sale on a house with another bank/. American Express just decided to cancel my card for that reason?. I don't need their card,. They can close it". But what did I do to them to deserve such a negative remark on my credit history? Many reviewers of my credit history would interprete their remark as if I had defaulted in my credit account at American Express, which of course is not true;. I had always paid the full balance on time".
I am applying for a job right now,. The job application asked whether any of my credit cards has been revoked. I have to say yes now and list American Express although I had always paid on time and do not owe them anything.
I would recommend people to stay away from American Express because of this careless practice of putting negative remarks on a customer's credit history although the customer did not do anything wrong. 1285a10

| 1. Written by VincentDem on August 7, 2011 from san jose, california, US The short sale is already reported on my credit history by the mortgage company. I should not be punished twice by having another negative mark from American Express. They can close the card if they want but do not affect my credit history with such closure. I did not do anything wrong with respect to the Emerican Express card. |
