Amex lied to me too about the Gold card before I opened it under a promotion. First they said I could get the promotion value in cash which was untrue. Second, they told me the extended warranty was good even after the account was closed. Also a lie that I didn't discover until I closed the account. I won't do business with Amex again because of their lying ways. Highly recommend you stay away from them, or just get the promotions and get out. They're very dishonest for lying like this. Expect to be lied to if you do any business with them! 1285efe
