American Express - 3000,000.00 points taken away from zero balance card

We have been using this card for out business for ten years. We had a zero balance on the card, they signed us up for something, we did not pay as we had zero balance and or account was canceled. Bad enough but they also flushed our points over 300 thousand points. The customer service rep stated yes it was weird how it worked out but there was nothing to be done. Oh and your points huh well its our policy to wipe those out so good luck.

American Express - Interest charged on $0 balance

I paid mu full balance off ($4400) & they wait 9 days after confirming there is a $0 balance with my finance lady to buy a new home to charge a fee & interest. Interest on 0? Total BS. Didn’t check the statement the next month since I knew it was zero, but since it really wasn’t they also charged a late fee. Who assumes they need to pay their credit card with no balance? Tried calling once, but I don’t have time to wait on hold and ended up hanging up. If they try to add to my balance after paying this crap off again I will report them. Don’t use AmEx.

Well I have American Express EveryDay card my bills will always due on the 14th of every month I paid them on the 1st all of a sudden they telling me I owe an extra payment in September somebody schedule it it sure wasn't me they said that I spokk to someone through the portal I said no I do all my own schedule now they're telling me I have to wait till September 22nd to reschedule my payment in October I asked why would I have to recall I have you on the phone to reschedule a payment they make every excuse that they screwed up this is one of the worst companies.. I told her check my records you'll see everything was due on the 14th of every month on the 1st of every month so now you're telling me it's my fault that you guys screwed up somehow and you won't extend that to me I've never been like late I always change my account in full..

On Monday I Overnighted AMEX at their LA post office box (which is a post office of its own) my checks. On Tuesday before lunch (11:56) they were picked up by tracking at AMEX postal box facility (huge). Today Wed at 4:57 they are lost. AMEX says to bad. My monthly bill is $20,000 to $50,000 per month. American Express - Wasn't allowed to log in to my account

Why would my password change so that I cannot log it? Why is it that my social security number and password are no longer recognized by American Express? Did I change them? I did not. So I cannot log into my account. First I called the girl, I think her name was Sy. She said she would email me a temporary password, but it never appeared. I called again and the same person said she couldn't give me another temporary password for 30 days, for security reasons. Excuse me, but, at the age of eighty I say, *** you to this outfit. Now I just want my money out, and I will put it in my bank, which pays NO interest. American Express High Yield Savings is not worth much if I can't get into my account. I just wanted to add a couple thousand, but not now.

American Express - Professional Customer Service

I received a new AMEX card and pay my bills online using autopay. All the other credit card companies that I deal with, when setting up autopay gives you at least 3 options, either pay the minimum, statement balance or another amount. All the option are due and payable by the DUE DATE with the other Card companies. AMEX, does not give you that option clearly. The option given is in the bottom corner of the website and the default setting is 15 days for the money to be debited from you bank account, which is at least 10 days prior to the DUE DATE. Why should anyone wanting to pay early? Your not given any discounts or anything. It is only fast money for AMEX to gouge innocent people. This has cost me undo stress and anxiety, for a person like me in my 70's and a Vietnam Veteran I don't deserve it. AMEX has eroded the trust that I had in so called legitimate organization. After 4 online chats and a phone call lasting 120 minutes, I was finally told that I overlooked the default that AMEX has placed in an inconspicuous location to trick the public and profit at their trusting expense. Shame on such a practice the cost me money and having to scramble to gather the funds needed to pay my card, when I was expecting it to be 10 days later as it is clear;y marked on the statement. This flagrant, blatant, brazen, brash, audacious, outrageous and uncalled for dealings is not what is expected from a legitimate organization.

American Express - Disappointed

I am a 2nd card holder on my fathers Amex Sr and Gold accounts. My father has been a member of Amex since 1975. He is 91 years old and a WWII survivor. He has recently had some health issues and has been in and out of the hospital. i had to take a leave of absense from work to help him while he recooperated. During this time i used the amex cards to help pay bills and buy grocery and his meds. I was very over due paying the charges back (3+ months). i did try and contact AMEX on 3 different occassions and was told they could not discuss the account with me they had to talk to my father. In May when i returned to work i borrowed the $1000.00 to pay the accounts however due to even more late fees i thought i was short $172 which i promised i would pay by the end of the week when i got a paycheck. Well when i called back to make the payment not only had they tacked on even more late fees they were charging me membership fees for an account that they had cancelled for non payment. Because the membership fees are due in April and they they cancelled the accounts in May they state i am responsinble for paying these fees. The insisted on talking to my father which they did and he gave them full authority to talk to me and discuss the accounts. I was transferred SEVERAL times and oddly enough i requested to speak to an AMERICAN REP. several times and was REFUSED i was told American Express is global and they do not have the ability to transfer me. I spoke with Malaysia, The Phillipines, India and Mexico. and each representative i spoke to was ruder and more disrespectiful than the last. i was also told they would continue to charge me late fees until i paid the membership dues even though the accounts are cancelled. American Express should not be allowed to use the world "AMERICAN"
