Your score is going to drop because you cancelled two accounts with long pay histories. The best thing to do would have been to transfer your balances and only used the cards once a year or so. This would enable you to make your point without taking a hit to your scores.

American Express in Boynton Beach, Florida - Unfairlly threated

On 1/20/17, went to walmart to reload my ax., bluebird card, which was refused. A call was made to customer service, agent #1 placed me on hold for approx., 20 mins., never returned. In my second attempt agent #2 got me an answer in 10 mins., and the answer was so insulting. My account was flagged due to unusual transactions, which according to them, my account was only used to transfer monies every month only and for that reason my account was flagged and to put the icining on the cake, I was told to use my outstanding balance of 1.34 and after said balance is used, bluebird will no longer honoring any business with me. I tried to explain to the agent that those transfer was only done once a month and it was to my landlord who resides in ny. I've been making my payments ever since I got the card and there was never a problem until yesterday.

American Express - Credit line decrease

I got an email stating that my credit line was decreased. I was very displaced by this as I have many credit cards and there has never been a decrease in any credit lines. I am still considering cancelling my account with AMEX because I feel this is just not right to do this to someone. I am very careful about how much of my credit lines I use and now that my limit was decreased I am showing a 99% usage on this card.They lowered the amount to that of which my balance was. I think this is very poor customer care and am not sure if I will be continuing to do business with a company like this. All of my collegues have also said the same thing about credit cards in general. We have never heard of credit line decreases. Very disappointing seeing as how I really like this credit card. I have never ever been late or missed any payments.

American Express - Horrible Customer Service

Someone tried to use my American Express number in Colorado. Money was transferred from my checking account to the American Express Card. The transaction did not go through. I have talked to 10 different customer service reps since 10/30/16. I have been on the phone as I write this for one hour waiting for a Supervisor. I cancelled my account and now cannot get MY MONEY transferred back into my checking account or a check sent to my home address. These poeple are ridiculous!! What a NIGHTMARE and I have spent a good 10 hours trying to resolve this problem HELP!!!! Contact me at Atennismom@aol.com.

If u make a good comment about this company you must work for them because this card is the worst. They have been stealing my money , holding my money and allowing 7 or more unauthorized transactions on my account since Oct 28th. This place is a fraud and scam artist and I'm ready to put a stop to them. If any one want to press charges against them with me send me a email. @ Kbrezzie2047@gmail.com I have an attorney who is a well known attorney and he is willing to take our case for free until we get paid. American Express in New York, New York - Holding MY money - won't give it back in a timely manner.

i made an online payment of 2k for a xmas present I had charged. The bank sent a duplicate payment with the EXACT same time stamp. When I found my acct wiped out, while stuck in Spain during the blizzard, their CS handed me over to their Global Assist. I didn't want the money back I euros, I wanted the money back in my acct. I was told (25th) it could be wired to West Union in 15 minutes when I return on the 29th. On the 28th handed back to CS. It is now Feb.2. No money. I have been lied to. I have a $1,625 credit and they won't give me my 2k back. I couldn't pay my rent

They said they cannot dispute a charge...won't even try. Second, a declined transaction (vendor didn't accept it) is still being held by amex for 8 days...no notice....so my approved purchase will be declined (when they decide to submit it) due to this ridiculous hold. I tried the transaction twice so of course they are holding both of those tries.
