I have an American Express gift card I received as a rebate from Sprint. The card had to be activated twice and even then would not accepted in many places.
It was forgotten until recently. That is when I discovered American Express was STEALING $3.00 a month from me for not using it. AE customer service called it a service charge. If I am paying for service I expect to get something.
I received no notifications and I received no statements, in other words I received no service. I was just being robbed.
The guy in customer service said I needed to read the fine print. I will never deal with then again.
