Loyal AMEX customer for over 30 years. Excellent payment record.

Missed a payment. Next statement said pay by date for the total of two months. AMEX suspended the account 8 days before due date based on prior month deadline, but Statement does not indicate that the account would be suspended for the prior month. Statement only gives due date for the total.

AMEX has lost my loyalty and my $150-200,000/year transaction totals.

Spoke with two reps, neither had power or interest to remove suspension unless I made immediate payment of the past due amount. Okay, I get that, but the statement only reads that the total of both months is due, not that the prior month must be paid ahead of that.
